Nebbiolo grapes are used in the production of this wine. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels for 15 days followed by 24 months of maturation in French barriques. Vinification is done using traditional methods. The production area for the wine is the Barolo commune in the Piedmont region. The vineyards are cultivated on soils with a calcareous composition and are exposed to the southwest.
Barolo Ravera DOCG 2019 - Paolo Scavino: TASTING
At this tasting, Barolo Ravera DOCG 2019 has a splendid visual analysis with an intense, bright and shiny ruby red color. On the nose, there are impressions of ripe red fruits, sweet spices and floral notes. The taste presents itself with a solid structure, well-integrated tannins and a pleasant persistence. This wine has an excellent ability to age and can be enjoyed even after several years. It is recommended with meat dishes, mature cheeses and traditional Piedmontese cuisine.
