Barolo Cerequio DOCG - Vietti

In the middle of the Langhe region, the prestigious Barolo Cerequio DOCG 2019 from the Vietti winery emerges. This wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Cerequio vineyards located in La Morra in Piedmont. The grapes are harvested manually and then fermented in stainless steel for about 20 days, followed by an aging in oak barrels for at least 24 months. Vinification is carried out with respect for local traditions and attention to detail. The Cerequio vineyards are located on a calcareous soil and are well exposed to the sun, giving the wine a unique elegance and structure.

Barolo Cerequio DOCG 2019 has an intense ruby red color with garnet red reflections. Visually, a good consistency and depth of color is noted. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherries and plums can be sensed, followed by floral scents such as roses and violets. On the palate, one can appreciate soft and velvety tannins with a pleasant freshness. The taste is enveloping and persistent with a good structure and a finish reminiscent of sweet spices. This wine has an excellent shelf life and can be stored for many years. It is recommended to enjoy it in combination with meat dishes, mature cheeses or typical Piedmontese dishes.
