The Barolo Monvigliero di Paolo Scavino is obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the homonymous cru located in the territory of Verduno (CN), one of the centers of Barolo DOCG. The vineyard where it originates, facing South-East, lies on soils characterized by calcareous and gypseous matrix, at an altitude of about 310 meters above sea level. Before bottling, the Barolo Monvigliero di Paolo Scavino was aged for 12 months in barriques and for a further 12 months in large casks. All vineyard and cellar operations were carried out with the utmost respect for the land and nature, following the rules of minimal interventionism.
BAROLO MONVIGLIERO PAOLO SCAVINO: TASTING
The Barolo Monvigliero di Paolo Scavino shines in the glass with a beautiful garnet red color. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe small wild berries intertwining with hints of potpourri and sweet notes of dark spices. Enhancing the olfactory picture are memories of balsamic herbs and roasted coffee. The palate is refined and enveloping, supported by a smooth tannic texture and an elegant minerality that lingers into the long finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as succulent land-based dishes featuring red meats or game.Product specifications
