Barbaresco Riserva Ovello 2019 by Produttori del Barbaresco is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the Barbaresco area in the province of Cuneo. The vineyard of origin, named Ovello, spans 20.3 hectares with southwest and west exposure and is situated on clay-limestone soils. During vinification, the alcoholic fermentation occurred in stainless steel at a temperature of 30°C, with a 28-day maceration of the must in contact with the skins. Prior to commercialization, Barbaresco Riserva Ovello DOCG by Produttori del Barbaresco was aged for 36 months in oak barrels and an additional 12 months in the bottle.

Barbaresco Riserva Ovello by Produttori del Barbaresco presents a ruby red color with garnet reflections in the glass. The nose reveals aromas of blackberry, raspberry, and ripe wild berries, intertwined with floral hints of rose and violet, and notes of tobacco, licorice, and dark spices. The palate is austere and elegant, enhanced by smooth tannins and a gentle fresh-salty trail that lingers in the long, spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as flavorful dishes based on red meat or game.
