Begali's Valpolicella Classico is composed of 65% Corvina, 30% Rondinella and other varieties for the remaining 5%. The Begali estate is located in Valpolicella, between Pedemonte and the hills of Castelrotto, a short distance from Verona and Lake Garda; the vines are all grown with the traditional pergola but limiting their vigour and increasing the number of vines per hectare. The vinification and aging take place in steel, after which the wine rests further in the bottle.

VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO BEGALI: TASTING

Begali's Valpolicella Classico is intense ruby red. The nose offers jam cherries, wild berries, violets, geranium and black pepper, with light hints of barley and rock. The mouth is fresh, savoury, with defined and integrated tannins, and a balsamic closure. Definitely enjoyable and versatile wine, it is very good with pizza as with various dishes of regional cuisine, for example, tagliolini in broth with livers, or gnocci alla veneta.
