Aroma erbaceo
Corpo leggeroRibolla Friuli Colli Orientali di Torre Rosazza comes from vineyards owned by Oleis di Manzano, 160-170 metres above sea level, on land composed of Eocene marls. This vine has long been cultivated with considerable success on the Colli Orientali del Friuli, where it is able to best express its intense aromatic charge by virtue of the particular microclimate of these areas. The ponca, the soil of which these hills are composed, a mixture of marl and sandstone stratified over the millennia, infuses a pleasant mineral note that gives a nice flavour to the wine. The grapes, harvested manually, undergo a short cryomaceration and then undergo a soft pressing. The musts obtained carry out the alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks kept at a controlled temperature. Successively, the wine is placed in yeasts for approximately 6 months until the bottling phase.
Torre Rosazza's Sauvignon Friuli Colli Orientali is of a beautiful pale straw yellow colour. It releases on the nose a bouquet of well-defined aromas that follow one another: initially, the lime tree emerges, followed by fruity and citrus notes of grapefruit and finally it continues with a delicate hint of boxwood. On the palate, it is tasty and markedly aromatic, refreshing. It lasts a long time in the mouth, revealing an intriguing mineral note at the finish. Perfect with gorgonzola and spinach gnocchi.
