Schiopetto’s Pinot Grigio del Pompiere highlights the fresh, approachable side of a grape long established in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The fruit comes from estate vineyards less than twenty years old, giving a white wine that balances expressive fruit with a distinctive savoury character.

Exotic fruit with a mineral edge

Bright straw yellow with golden highlights, it offers aromas of exotic fruit and rosehip. The palate is rounded yet fresh, with a pleasantly saline, mineral-tinged finish. There is satisfying flavour without sacrificing ease of drinking.

Gentle pressing to preserve freshness

The grapes are pressed gently and promptly after picking to prevent the dark skins from lending a copper tint to the wine. Fermentation and maturation in stainless steel allow the grape’s aromatic character to shine without oak influence.
