Grown in vineyards located between San Michele and Caldaro, at an altitude of 400 to 500 metres above sea level, this grape benefits from south-east and south-west exposures and from moraine soils with a high limestone content.
The vines are trained using the Guyot system, while the harvest takes place at the end of September, with the grapes picked and selected by hand directly in the vineyard. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks, where fermentation and partial malolactic fermentation take place, preserving the wine’s freshness, aromatic finesse and pleasant drinkability.
Pinot Grigio San Michele Appiano shows a straw-yellow colour in the glass, brightened by delicate greenish reflections. On the nose, it reveals a fresh and fruit-driven profile, with clear notes of pear and Golden Delicious apple. The palate is soft, refined and elegant, supported by lively freshness, balanced acidity and a pleasantly long finish.
This versatile and easy-drinking white wine is perfect as an aperitif and is well suited to parties, gatherings and special occasions. It pairs beautifully with tasty starters, delicate recipes and light dishes such as ricotta pralines served on tomato carpaccio. Recommended serving temperature: 8°C. Alcohol content: 13.5% Vol.
