The Nebbiolo Arione di Giacomo Conterno makes its debut with the 2019 vintage. The first vintage of a wine from a legendary winery. A red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The namesake cru originates in the municipality of Roddino (CN) and includes vines trained in the guyot system, rooted in medium-textured limestone soils at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. During vinification, the alcoholic fermentation took place in wooden vats at a temperature of 30°C with a 3-week maceration of the must on the skins. The aging process lasted for 36 months in large barrels.

The Nebbiolo Arione by Giacomo Conterno is ruby red in color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of small red berries, violet potpourri, and undergrowth notes mingling with hints of balsamic herbs and dark oriental spices. The taste is elegant and profound, supported by a silky tannic structure and a vertical mineral character that lingers in the long finish. At the table, it pairs well with mature cheeses as well as succulent meat-based dishes featuring red meats or game.
