The Poggio della Costa di Sergio Mottura is obtained from 100% Grechetto grapes. The vineyard of origin, facing East, extends over 7 hectares in Civitella d’Agliano (VT), taking root in medium-textured clay soils, at an altitude of about 140 meters above sea level. In the winemaking process, alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature. Aging occurred in stainless steel for 6 months, plus an additional 2 months in the bottle. This is a sincere and exciting interpretation of Grechetto, the native grape variety that has made Sergio Mottura famous worldwide.
The extracted NAMEVINOPoggio della Costa from Mottura Civitella d'Agliano presents itself in the glass with an intense straw yellow color. On the nose, it expresses aromas of yellow flesh fruit that combine with balsamic hints of aromatic herbs and light citrus notes. On the palate, it is intense and mineral, supported by a vibrant freshness that invites a second sip. It pairs well with semi-aged cheeses and seafood first and second courses. It also pairs excellently with vegetarian dishes such as a delicious asparagus and potato frittata.
