Planeta's Fiano Cometa was produced from 100% Fiano grapes harvested by hand in the area of Menfi, in the province of Agrigento. The vineyards are rooted in calcareous, clayey soils at an altitude of around 75 metres above sea level. During vinification, 90% of the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel and 10% in barriques. Ageing continued for a few months in stainless steel and in wood.

FIANO SICILIA MENFI COMETA PLANETA: THE TASTING

Planeta's Fiano Cometa offers itself to the eye with an intense straw yellow colour. On the nose it offers aromas of tropical yellow fruit meeting floral hints of chamomile and broom and notes of Mediterranean herbs. The taste is fresh and mineral, enhanced by a long balsamic and floral finish. On the table it pairs well with vegetarian dishes as well as delicious seafood recipes with white fish, shellfish and crustaceans.
