Corpo medioThe Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo Alta Mora di Cusumano is born from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes coming from the homonymous district in the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT). The original vineyard consists of vines about 80 years old trained in bush form on volcanic soils, at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level. In the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and gently pressed to obtain the must. During the red vinification process, maceration on the skins lasted for 18-21 days at a temperature of 28°C. The refinement took place for several months in large barrels of 25 hectoliters and tonneaux.
The Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo Alta Mora di Cusumano presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it boasts aromas of berries and aromatic herbs intertwined with hints of graphite, licorice, and dark spices. The taste is warm, enveloping, and structured, enhanced by smooth tannins and a clear minerality that persists in the long finish of red orange. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as rich earthy dishes based on red meats or game.
