The Scalunera Etna Rosato di Torre Mora was produced from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown in the districts of Dafara-Galluzzio and Rovittello, in the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT). The vineyards here are situated on volcanic soils, at an altitude of around 700 meters above sea level. The grape harvest was carried out by hand around mid-September. The winemaking process included a phase of alcoholic fermentation at a temperature of 15°C for about 16 days with maceration of the free-run juice in contact with the skins for 3-4 hours. The refining took place for 3 months in stainless steel on fine lees.
The Scalunera Etna Rosato di Torre Mora presents itself with a delicate pink color. On the nose, it offers aromas of red fruits combined with hints of Mediterranean herbs and flinty notes. The palate is soft and balanced, supported by a pronounced mineral freshness that persists in the finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs well with flavorful seafood dishes featuring white fish, shellfish, and crustaceans.
