Corpo robusto
The Barolo Serra di Giovanni Rosso is born from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the prestigious area of Serralunga d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo. The original vineyard covers about 1 hectare within the Serra cru and includes vines exposed to the South-East, at an altitude of approximately 378 meters above sea level. The entire winemaking process took place in concrete tanks and included a 28-day alcoholic fermentation with daily pump-overs and délestage halfway through. The aging occurred in French oak barrels from the Fontainebleau forest for a period of 36 months.
BAROLO SERRA GIOVANNI ROSSO: TASTING
The Barolo Serra di Giovanni Rosso presents itself to the eye with a ruby red color and garnet reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe small red fruits intertwined with hints of withered violet petals and notes of licorice and dark spices. Completing the olfactory profile are hints of undergrowth and toasted coffee powder. The taste is powerful and structured, enhanced by velvety tannins and a long balsamic and spicy finish. Perfectly paired with aged cheeses as well as elaborate land-based recipes involving red meats or game.Product specifications
