Corpo medioBarbera d'Alba DOC 2024 is a Piedmontese red wine made from Barbera grapes, one of the most widely grown and best-known varieties in the region. Most likely originating from the hills of Monferrato, Barbera later spread extensively throughout the Alba area, where it found ideal conditions to express its vigorous, productive and versatile nature. This natural exuberance often requires careful vineyard management in order to obtain wines that are balanced, expressive and deeply linked to their place of origin.
A wine of great tradition, Barbera d'Alba DOC can show different nuances depending on the area where the grapes are grown. Ageing further enhances its character, gradually harmonising its components and giving the wine greater refinement over time. In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red colour, while the nose is vinous, rich and fruity. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and lively, supported by the natural acidity of the grape variety; with bottle ageing, it tends to gain softness, harmony and complexity.
Barbera d'Alba DOC 2024 is best served at a temperature between 16°C and 18°C. It pairs beautifully with flavourful and well-structured dishes such as game, roasts, pork, boiled meats and spicy cheeses. To preserve it properly, the bottle should be stored lying down, in a dark, cool place protected from temperature changes. Thanks to its natural ageing potential, it can continue to develop positively in the bottle for several years.
