The Barolo DOCG Gavarini Chiniera by Elio Grasso was born from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the territory of Monforte d'Alba (CN), among the most suitable for the production of Barolo. The original vineyard, called Gavarini Chiniera, extends for 3 hectares and is situated on calcareous-sandy soils at an altitude between 350 and 400 metres above sea level. For this prestigious red the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The refinement took place in 25-hectolitre Slavonian oak barrels for a period of 24 months. Before being released, the wine rested in the bottle for 10 months in the bottle.

The Barolo Gavarini Chiniera by Elio Grasso announces itself in the glass with seductive garnet red colour with orange reflections. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of blueberries and small red berries that intertwine with clear notes of chocolate, cloves and dark spices. Powerful and structured, when tasted it expresses a silky tannic texture and a harmonious and elegant taste. The finish is long and lingering. At the table, it goes well with aged cheeses and opulent land dishes based on red meats or game.
