Corpo medioThe Verduno Pelaverga di Burlotto comes from 100% Pelaverga Piccolo grapes. It is a native Piedmontese grape variety, with ancient origins, cultivated exclusively in the areas of La Morra, Roddi, and Verduno, in the province of Cuneo, giving life to the DOC wine called Verduno Pelaverga di BurlottoVerduno Pelaverga. After manual harvesting, the grapes were transported to the cellar for vinification, which included a phase of alcoholic fermentation in open French oak vats and stainless steel tanks.
The Verduno Pelaverga di Burlotto appears ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe red berries accompanied by hints of nutmeg and dark spices. The taste is pleasant and balanced, enhanced by well-integrated tannins and an intriguing fresh-savory trail that lingers in the finish. It pairs well with cold cuts and semi-aged cheeses, as well as vegetarian dishes and tasty land-based recipes with red meats.
