The Pinot Nero Festival di Cantina Merano is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes grown in the territories of Tyrol, Lagundo, and Lana, in the province of Bolzano. The vineyards here consist of vines 10-20 years old and are rooted in slightly permeable, morainic soils, at an altitude ranging from 500 to 550 meters above sea level. During red wine vinification, alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature with maceration of the must on the skins for 10 days. The aging process took place for several months in oak barrels and used barriques.
The Pinot Nero Festival PLACEHOLDER_NAME Merano presents itself with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of wild cherry and ripe forest fruits chase hints of red flowers and notes of graphite and dark spices. The palate is soft and elegant, with a velvety and well-defined tannic structure and a long, spicy finish. Try it with a tasty dish of pheasant ragù tagliatelle.
