Corpo medioPinot Bianco Lepus by Franz Haas is one of the wines that wear the guise designed by Riccardo Schweizer, a multifaceted Trentino artist who collaborated with renowned artists such as Picasso and Chagall during his career. Schweizer designed many of the labels that were gifted by Maria Luisa Manna to her husband Franz, as a lucky charm for the release of his wines. The Pinot Bianco vineyards, which face south and southwest, are located between 400 and 800 meters, and the geological diversity of the region is evident in the soils of this area, which range from the lightest sands to the heaviest soils stemming from porphyritic erosion. The must is fermented mostly at a controlled temperature in steel tanks and partly in barriques. Before bottling, the wine remains on the lees for about five months in order to acquire complexity and fullness.
Pinot Bianco Lepus by Franz Haas has a brilliant straw yellow color. The perfume recalls fruity and spicy notes, from ripe apples to wildflowers, as well as fresh bread. On the palate it stands out for its strong personality, accompanied by an elegant and robust structure and balanced by a harmonious acidity; the finish is long and full of flavor. This Pinot Bianco needs at least 3-4 months in the bottle to achieve its best attributes, after which it pairs beautifully with baked trout.
