The Merlot di Elena Walch is a red wine made 100% from Merlot di Elena WalchMerlot grapes cultivated in calcareous soils with sandy and clayey formations, at an altitude ranging from 200 to 400 meters above sea level. During the red winemaking process, alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature with a 10-day maceration of the must on the skins. The aging process took place for several months in large oak barrels.

MERLOT ALTO ADIGE ELENA WALCH: TASTING

The Merlot di Elena Walch wine presents itself in the glass with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it showcases scents of ripe red fruits, rose and violet, which blend with hints of cocoa powder and dark spices. The palate is smooth and round, supported by soft tannins and a pronounced fruity taste that lingers in the finish. It pairs well with cold cuts and cheeses, as well as flavorful meat dishes especially those based on tomatoes and red meats.
