Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Lacryma Christi Rosso by Feudi di San Gregorio is an assembly of Piedirosso and Aglianico. This sub-denomination of the Vesuvio doc is used for wines from Piedirosso, Sciascinoso and Aglianico grapes, with a low yield and an alcohol content of at least 12°. The vineyards are located in the foothills of the quiescent volcano that dominates Naples, spread over 15 municipalities. The soils are dark lava soils rich in potassium and other microelements, with a good capacity to retain water. The grapes are harvested in the second half of October, vinified in steel, where the wine then rests between 4 and 5 months before bottling.
The Lachryma Christi Rosso by Feudi di San Gregorio has an intense ruby red colour; the nose is very rich in fruit with light floral and ash notes; in the mouth, it is fresh and at the same time soft with fruit and sweet tannins. It goes well with Neapolitan ragu, savoury and fragrant, or with sausages (strictly with knifepoint) on the grill.
