Corpo medioTerlan's Gewürztraminer has been produced since 1956 between 250 and 900 metres above sea level. 2018 was an "extreme" vintage, characterised by snow and rain until March, high temperatures in the following months, hail in June, scorching heat in July and August and rain in September. But the solidity of the Terlano vineyards and the skill of the winemakers ensured that healthy grapes were brought to the cellar in good quantities. The harvest began on 22 August, followed by careful crushing of whole bunches and destemming by natural sedimentation. Fermentation took place slowly at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Maturation took place for 6 months on the fine yeast in steel tanks. GEWÜRZTRAMINER TERLAN: THE TASTING The Gewürztraminer from Terlano has an intense, light straw yellow colour. The nose is mesmerising with hints of lychee and mango, honeysuckle, rose petals and cloves. The flavour is fresh, extremely tasty, fragrant and long. Delicious (I recommend) served no lower than 10°C, accompanied by dishes with Asian undertones, such as Zereschk Polo: steamed basmati rice garnished with the berry Crespino, called Zereshk in Persian, and saffron chicken.
