The Skin Friulano di Primosic is a white macerated wine made from 100% Friulano grapes produced in the area of Oslavia, in the province of Gorizia. The grapes were hand-harvested when fully ripe, in small crates, and transported to the cellar. After destemming, the clusters were placed in open vats to start fermentation, which occurred spontaneously thanks to indigenous yeasts. The maceration of the must on the skins lasted for about 14 days without temperature control. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place in 500-600 liter barrels. The wine was aged for 14 months in wood and then further bottle-aged.

SKIN FRIULANO COLLIO PRIMOSIC: TASTING NOTES

The Skin Friulano di Primosic presents itself in the glass with an intense golden yellow color. On the nose, it offers aromas of apricot and ripe yellow fleshed fruits combined with hints of white field flowers and aromatic herbs, along with notes of flint and sweet spices. The palate is soft, structured, and with good freshness, upheld by a clear mineral character and an enveloping spicy and almond finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses, flavorful vegetarian dishes, as well as tasty dishes based on white fish, shellfish, and crustaceans.
