The Frascati Primo di Merumalia is born from Malvasia del Lazio, Greco, and Bombino grapes. The Fusco family produces wine, oil, and hosts in an ancient farmhouse in Frascati, a place with great oenological potential due to its volcanic soils and the climate softened by the maritime influence. The grapes are processed in steel, just as the wine ages for 4 months on the lees in steel, followed by another 3 months in the bottle before being marketed.

FRASCATI PRIMO MERUMALIA: TASTING

The Frascati Superiore Primo di Merumalia has a pale straw color with greenish streaks. On the nose, it is intense: after the incipit of fermentative aromas of apple and pear, it opens with fruity notes of apricot, pineapple, and grapefruit, floral scents of hawthorn, Mediterranean hints of thyme and rosemary. On the palate, it is fresh, soft, of significant structure, with a salty finish and a pleasantly bitter closure. Fantastic paired with a warm rabbit salad, as well as with fresh pasta maltagliati with artichokes.
