Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Scot di Cavallotto comes from the homonymous vineyard between the crus of Bricco Boschis and Vignolo: about 3 hectares of steep hills with East North East exposure. The 2017 harvest took place in excellent weather conditions, between 6 and 7 September. The fermentation took place in steel tanks, the malolactic in concrete, the following spring; then the wine matured 6 months in 20-30-50 hl Slavonian oak barrels, and another 6 months, again in concrete.

Cavallotto's Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Scot 2017 has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, it is rich in ripe red and black fruit, and flowers. In the mouth, it is fresh and tasty with silky tannins. Due to its pleasant and not demanding drink, it is good accompanied with cured meats and semi-mature cheeses, for example Salame Piemonte PGI and Robiola di Roccaverano; and perfect with four-cheese pizza and spicy salami, or with a delicious beef hamburger and sausage with mushrooms, egg and Edam.
