The Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina di Antinori was obtained from Sangiovese grapes and other complementary red berry vines grown in the territory of Centoia, in the province of Arezzo. After the harvest, the grapes were transported to the winery to undergo differentiated vinification processes: most of the extracted must was macerated with the skins for a period of 10-12 days at a controlled temperature of 30°C; the rest underwent maceration for 7-8 days at a temperature of 25°C. Before bottling, the Chianti Superiore DOCG Santa Cristina by Antinori was aged partly in barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks for a period of 12 months.
CHIANTI SUPERIORE SANTA CRISTINA ANTINORI: THE TASTING
The Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina di Antinori appears in the glass with a ruby red color and purple reflections. On the nose, it expresses aromas of sour cherry, plum, and red fruit intertwined with balsamic hints and dark oriental spices. The palate is fresh and smooth, supported by polished tannins and a gentle minerality that lingers in the finish. It pairs well with cold cuts and semi-aged and aged cheeses, as well as tasty land-based recipes featuring red meats or game.Product specifications
