La Fuga is a white wine that embodies the winemaking excellence of Sicily. It comes from vineyards located on the Contessa Entellina estate, in the southwestern part of the island, and is the result of meticulous vinification that respects the local terroir. The combination of a Mediterranean climate—with hot, dry summers and mild winters—and calcareous-clay soils gives this Chardonnay a unique and distinctive character. The grapes are hand-harvested during the coolest hours of the day to best preserve their freshness and aromatic intensity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by approximately six months of aging on the lees, which adds complexity and texture to the wine.
