Aroma fruttato
Corpo robustoThe Cabernet Sauvignon di Poggio al Tufo is born from a selection of grapes in the Tenuta Albore estate in Scansano. There are two types of soils: in the higher part of the property, the soils are clayey, relatively fertile, and slightly calcareous, while in the lower part there are sandier and well-drained soils. The grapes are harvested slightly overripe, then vinified in steel with about 12 days of maceration, and the wine then matures for 12 months in 70 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
The Cabernet Sauvignon di Poggio al Tufo presents itself in the glass with a beautiful, compact and bright ruby red color. The bouquet is composed of blackberry jam, potpourri, black pepper, dried Mediterranean aromatic herbs, eucalyptus balms, notes of cinnamon, and vanilla. The palate is enveloping, full-bodied, with velvety tannins and good freshness. A structured wine, but not overly challenging, it is perfect for a barbecue of meat and vegetables in good company.
