The
Brunello di Montalcino Poggio di Sotto di Colle Massari
has been obtained from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the territory of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a hamlet of Montalcino (SI), at an altitude ranging from 200 to 450 meters above sea level. The harvest was carried out by hand with a very low yield, equivalent to 35 quintals per hectare. The red vinification process included a phase of spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels. The aging took place for 40 months in 30-hectolitre oak barrels and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO POGGIO DI SOTTO COLLE MASSARI: TASTING NOTES
The Brunello di Montalcino Poggio di Sotto di Colle Massari reveals itself in the glass with a captivating garnet red color. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe small red berries that intertwine with hints of balsamic herbs, ginger, and oriental dark spices. Completing the olfactory profile are notes of undergrowth and cedar wood. The taste is elegant and profound, enhanced by a silky tannic structure. The balsamic and spicy finish is long and exciting. This wine pairs excellently with aged cheeses as well as rich earthy dishes based on red meats or game.Product specifications
