Brunello di Montalcino di Canalicchio di Sopra is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes, 60% from the Montosli cru and 40% from the Canalicchio cru. The vineyards are located on clay and galsert soils at an average altitude of 300 meters above sea level. Red vinification took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel with 25-day maceration of the must on the skins. Aging took place for 36 months in 25- and 50-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels.

Brunello di Montalcino di Canalicchio di Sopra stands out to the eye with a brilliant ruby red color. The nose flaunts aromas of ripe red fruits, violets and underbrush that intertwine with hints of balsamic herbs, noble woods and dark spices. The sip is deep and textured, supported by silky tannins and a lingering finish of morello cherry, tobacco and spices. At the table it is best enjoyed with aged cheeses and rich red meat or game preparations.
