Mascarello Giuseppe's Barolo Monprivato was made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the historic and prestigious Monprivato subzone of the commune of Castiglione Falletto, in the province of Cuneo. The vineyards of origin, facing southwest, insist on soils characterized by silty-clay marls, rich in active limestone, at an altitude of about 280 meters above sea level. After harvest, the grapes were transported to the winery for vinification, which included an alcoholic fermentation phase lasting 20-26 days. Before release, Mascarello Giuseppe's Barolo Monprivato was aged for 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

Mascarello Giuseppe's Barolo Monprivato comes in the glass with a seductive garnet-red color. The nose releases aromas of cherry and small ripe red fruits that combine with hints of rose and violet in potpourri and evolved notes of leather, tobacco and dark spices. Slight ethereal and balsamic nuances complete the olfactory picture. The sip is austere and elegant, enhanced by silky tannins and a long, exciting spicy and balsamic finish. At the table it pairs well with aged cheeses and succulent earthy red meat or game dishes.
