Corpo robustoPalladino's Barolo Parafada 2014 is produced with Nebbiolo grapes, sub-variety Lampia and Michet, coming from the Parafada vineyard, of only one hectare, in Serralunga d'Alba with southern exposure and altitude between 270 and 360 metres above sea level, on only marly limestone and sandy. The Barolo production disciplinary establishes that only 3 of the 11 municipalities indicated as the area of origin of the Nebbiolo grapes suitable for the production of Barolo wine are suitable for the cultivation of vines throughout the country: Serralunga d'Alba, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto. The grapes ferment in steel, the wine then matures 24 months in large barrels and 12 months in the bottle, before being placed on the market.
Palladino's 2014 Barolo Parafada enters the glass with an iridescent ruby red with purple and garnet reflections. On the nose, it is elegant, in the notes of rose, violet and mandarin, but also mysterious, in the references of woody earthy balms and fresh aromatic herbs. In the mouth, it is decidedly suited to longevity, with severe but elegant tannins, freshness, flavour of flowers and herbs. If you are in Serralunga, drink it with the “Roast in Broth” of goat from Bisalta, Loggese hay, Artichoke, Foie Gras by Fabrizio Tesse, La Rei- Boscareto, with a breathtaking view of the vineyards.
