The Barolo Cannubi di Burlotto is one of the 4 great Barolos of the company, together with Monvigliero, Acclivi (a blend from the two previous cru vineyards) and the Barolo appellation. All the wines of Fabio Alessandria, operative heir of Commendatore GB Burlotto, show a surprising purity, having been born from the same winemaking philosophy, and raise the company to the Olympus of Langa wines. The grapes are vinified in large French oak barrels.

BAROLO CANNUBI BURLOTTO: TASTING

The Barolo Cannubi by Burlotto is presented in the glass of a classic fascinating light garnet red colour. On the nose, it is very elegant, a profusion of withered flowers and sweet spices, from rose and violet to nutmeg, cardamom, licliquoriceorice; all on an olfactory substrate of cherry jam and red citrus. To drink it shows, if it were still needed, a great class, with elegance, balance, finesse, freshness and a present but perfectly tailored tannin. To be tasted strictly on its own, then accompanied delightfully with roast pigeon stuffed with truffles.
