Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioPrunotto's Barbera d'Asti Bansella Nizza DOCG is produced from 100% Barbera grapes, grown in the company vineyard called Bansella and characterised by clayey soil, rich in calcareous marl and veins of sand. After the maceration and fermentation processes, the wine rests for 9 months in 2nd and 3rd passage in barriques. The Barbera grape is the most widespread grape in all of Piedmont and the province of Asti, in the Langhe, is one of the most suitable areas for its cultivation along with Monferrato. Barbera d'Asti Bansella di Prunotto is part of the Nizza DOCG appellation (until 2013 Barbera d'Asti Superiore Nizza DOCG) which includes only 18 municipalities gathered around Nizza Monferrato (AT).
Prunotto's Barbera d'Asti Bansella Nizza DOCG 2016 is presented in the glass of an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. Aromas of violets, small ripe red fruits intertwined with notes of dark spices are used on the nose. Soft and full-bodied, on the palate it conquers for its lively and at the same time deep freshness. Excellent persistence. At the table, it goes well with braised red meats, medium-aged cheeses and game-based recipes.
