The Barbaresco Roccalini di Cascina Roccalini was produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Roccalini area, a hamlet of Barbaresco (CN). The harvest was carried out with a very low yield, equivalent to 50 quintals per hectare. The red vinification process included a phase of alcoholic fermentation activated by indigenous yeasts, accompanied by a long maceration of the must on the skins. The aging was for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. No clarification or filtration operations were carried out.

BARBARESCO ROCCALINI CASCINA ROCCALINI: TASTING NOTES

The Barbaresco Roccalini di Cascina Roccalini presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color and garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe small red fruits combined with scents of violet potpourri and hints of aromatic herbs and dark spices. The palate is elegant and deep, enhanced by silky tannins and a long and exciting balsamic and spicy finish. It pairs well with mature cheeses as well as with rich earthy dishes based on red meats or game.
