Corpo medioThe Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore di Bucci is one of the most important wines of this appellation for a long time now. The Bucci family expresses a close bond with their land: the estate, which now covers 350 hectares, is cultivated with diversified production (hard and soft wheat, corn, sugar beets, peas, seed crops, sunflowers, oil, and wine). The limestone soils, different vineyard exposures, careful work on each individual vineyard, and the use of large 80-year-old barrels provide the perfect representation of Verdicchio. The Verdicchio Classico Superiore ferments in steel and refines in Slavonian oak barrels for at least 4 months.
Bucci's Verdicchio di Jesi Superiore appears as a brilliant straw yellow. On the nose, it gradually opens up with hints of hawthorn, jasmine, peach, apple, some fresh touches of pineapple and kiwi, and fresh almond. On the palate, it has structure, sapidity, fruity flavors, and a beautiful length. Excellent with seafood risotto, as well as vegetable-based dishes, such as Frecantò, the Marche version of ratatouille.
