Plenio 2023 is made from 100% Verdicchio in the Castelli di Jesi hills and marks thirty years since the label's first vintage in 1995. For this vintage only, Umani Ronchi introduced an exclusive total-black presentation to underline the anniversary of one of its benchmark Verdicchio wines.

A Riserva designed to evolve

Vinification and maturation take place between stainless steel and large oak casks, with 40% of the wine in wood, for around 12 months, followed by at least 6 months in bottle. The result is a white of depth and structure that retains freshness and a pronounced savoury character.

In the glass

The aromatic profile combines exotic fruit, citrus peel, acacia blossom, helichrysum and sage, followed by nuances of cumin and white pepper. The palate is enveloping, fresh and persistent, with a long savoury finish. The 2023 vintage received 5 Grappoli from the Bibenda 2026 guide.

At the table

Serve at 12-14 °C. It pairs well with stuffed pasta, roast white meats and roasted fish.
