The Grumello Riserva Buon Consiglio di Arpepe is born on the border between the municipality of Sondrio and the municipality of Montagna, at the foot of the fascinating ruins of the castle of Grumello. We are at 370 metres above sea level on vertiginous terraces of dry stone walls that in some points reach 7 metres in height. In 2009, it was harvested on 15 October. Vinification and maceration took place in wooden vats for a long and slow period, even over 100 days, when necessary (in 2009 48 days were enough) in 50-hectolitre wooden vats. The wine then matured for 5 years in vats of the same capacity, steel and bottle.

Arpepe's Grumello Riserva Buon Consiglio 2009 is presented in the glass with a ruby red and garnet flashes. On the nose, eyes closed, it takes you on a journey from the sea to the mountains, with fresh and juicy notes of red citrus fruits, aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean scrub, up to the scents of mountain rock and mentholated balms that give the sensation of ice. In the mouth, it is savoury, fresh, very elegant, provocative, very long. To be tasted strictly on its own, then to be accompanied provocatively with a risotto mare e monti.
