The Ronchedone Rosso di Ca' dei Frati wine is obtained from Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Cabernet grapes grown in the hilly morainic areas near Lugana di Sirmione, in the province of Brescia. After the harvest, carried out with a yield of 80 quintals per hectare, the grapes were transported to the winery for vinification. For this red wine with an incisive character, the maceration of the must in contact with the skins and the alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel. Instead, the aging occurred for 14 months in barriques and for an additional 10 months in the bottle.
RONCHEDONE ROSSO DI CA' DEI FRATI: TASTING
The Ronchedone Rosso di Ca' dei Frati presents in the glass an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses aromas of ripe berries and sour cherries intertwined with balsamic hints and subtle spicy notes. The taste is powerful and harmonious, enhanced by a well-polished tannic structure and a distinct fresh-savory trail that lingers in the fruity and spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as elaborate recipes based on red meats or game.Product specifications
