Syrah Altavilla della Corte di Firriato  is produced from the vineyards of the Borgo Guarini estate, in the Trapani hinterland, on medium-textured soils tending to clayey, with northern exposure and 300 metres above sea level. The name of this label is a tribute by Firriato to the Altavilla, one of the most influential Norman families in the historical events of Sicily and Southern Italy. The harvest takes place manually at the end of August; the grapes are vinified in stainless steel fermenters, then the wine matures 6 months in American oak barriques and 3 months in the bottle, before being placed on the market.

Syrah Altavilla della Corte 2017 is presented in the glass with a beautiful intense ruby red colour; on the nose, it expresses softness and warmth: ripe fruit, spices, fragrant pepper. In the mouth it is structured, soft but with defined tannins. Good with an appetiser of artisan cured meats, cheeses and in oil, or with mixed meatballs and sautéed zucchini.
