Aroma fruttato
Corpo robustoStoan di Tramin was produced from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bianco and Gewürztraminer grapes grown in the Termeno area, in the province of Bolzano. The vineyards of origin, which include vines aged between 10 and 40 years with south-east and south exposure, insist on soils characterised by gravel, limestone and clay, at an altitude between 400 and 600 metres above sea level. After the manual harvest, carried out between the end of September and mid-October, the grapes were sent for vinification which included a phase of slow alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18-20° C in wood where the malolactic fermentation also took place. The aromatic and structural edges of the wine are rounded off. Before release, Tramin's Stoan Alto Adige Bianco DOC 2016 was aged for 11 months on the lees in large barrels of 30-40 hectoliters and for a further 3 months in the bottle.
Stoan di Tramin is presented in the glass with a straw yellow colour with golden reflections. On the nose, it releases aromas of peach, pear and white pulp fruit that combine with floral hints of mimosa and jasmine and citrus notes with timid hints of tomato leaf. The taste is soft and harmonious, enhanced by a gentle freshness with an elegant minerality that persists in the long finish. At the table, it goes well with fresh and semi-aged cheeses as well as vegetarian dishes and seafood recipes based on white fish, molluscs and crustaceans. Also excellent paired with white meats.
