The Akenta Subacqueo Spumante Extra Dry di Santa Maria La Palma is born from 100% Vermentino grapes selected and handpicked. In the production process, the sparkling takes place in an autoclave following the rules of the Charmat or Martinotti method. The refinement of 6 months in contact with the yeasts took place - as the name suggests - underwater at 40 meters below sea level. For this reason, the bottle presents natural encrustations due to the activity of marine organisms.
The Akenta Subacqueo Extra Dry by Santa Maria La Palma is straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, it offers scents of yellow pulp fruit and white flowers that meet notes of aromatic herbs and bread crust. On the palate, it is fresh and irresistibly mineral creamy with excellent persistence. Perfect with cheeses and vegetarian dishes as well as tasty seafood recipes. Try it with raw sea urchins.
