Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Gaudensius Rosè Etna di Firriato is born from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the Cavanera Etnea estate in the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia (CT). The vineyards, facing North, are located precisely in the Verzella district, taking root in sandy soils, at an altitude of 630 meters above sea level. Once they reached the cellar, the clusters were whole pressed gently and then underwent skin maceration to facilitate the extraction of primary aromas. Alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16°C. Following the rules of the Metodo Classico, the second fermentation occurred in the bottle where the wine aged for 24 months in contact with the lees.
The Etna Rosé Gaudensius Spumante by Firriato shines in the glass with a delicate pink color enhanced by a soft perlage. On the nose, it displays aromas of white peach and pomegranate that chase hints of red flowers and subtle citrus notes. The palate is soft and creamy, fresh and mineral. The finish of red orange is intense and persistent. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs superbly with delicious seafood dishes, such as a sumptuous prawn catalana.
