Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Soreli di Pighin is a Collio Bianco resulting from a blend of Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Malvasia grapes. The company's vineyards are rooted in hilly, Southwest-facing terrain located in the Spessa di Capriva (GO) area. Here, the dominant feature is the "ponca," an alternation of marl and Eocene sandstone capable of giving the wines an intense minerality. After the manual harvest, carried out in the third decade of September, the grape bunches were transported to the winery for vinification that began with cryomaceration. Alcoholic fermentation took place in thermo-conditioned stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques and tonneaux. The aging process lasted for 18 months in stainless steel, tonneaux, and medium-toasted Slavonian oak barrels before the blending process.
The Soreli di Pighin has a straw-yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it displays aromas of peach and apricot combined with floral hints of orange blossom, acacia, and chamomile, along with subtle notes of musk and sweet spices. The palate is fresh and enveloping, supported by an elegant sapidity and a persistent finish. It pairs well with cheeses, vegetarian dishes, as well as flavorful seafood dishes.
