Scrio Rosso di Le Macchiole was made with 100% Syrah grapes from the Castagneto Carducci (LI) area, the heart of the Bolgheri DOCG. The harvest took place between the last week of August and the first week of September. The winemaking process included an alcoholic fermentation phase with a 20-day maceration of the must in contact with the skins, carried out in stainless steel and concrete. The aging occurred in new tonneaux, 12-hectoliter truncated cone vats, and ceramic. Its name comes from a local term meaning "genuine, integral, and pure."

Scrio Rosso di Le Macchiole presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it releases aromas of cherry and ripe dark berry fruits intertwining with balsamic hints of Mediterranean scrubland, along with evolved notes of chocolate and dark spices. On the palate, it is soft and elegant, enhanced by velvety tannins and a long and exciting finish characterized by fruity tones and aromatic herbs. It pairs well with aged cheeses, as well as tasty dishes of red meats or game from the land.
