It is made from a blend of native grape varieties—Croatina, Barbera, and Uva Rara—grown on the hills of Rocca de' Giorgi, the heart of the Vistarino estate. The name “Sangue di Giuda” (Judas’ Blood) originates from a local legend, but today the wine is appreciated above all for its immediacy, fruity fragrance, and its versatility in pairing with traditional desserts, berries, and aged cheeses. The winemaking process includes partial fermentation, halted to retain natural sugars, followed by a secondary fermentation that gives the wine its signature liveliness. The result is a vibrant, sweet yet never cloying wine, ideal for casual and convivial occasions.
Deep ruby red with purplish highlights and a lively, creamy foam. The nose is rich and fragrant, with ripe cherry, strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry notes, accompanied by floral hints of rose and violet. On the palate, it is sweet but balanced, with fine bubbles that lighten the sip and a refreshing acidity that invites another glass. The finish is harmonious and persistent, with clear fruity echoes.
