Poggio ai Merli di Castellare di Castellina is a single-variety Merlot of great structure and longevity. The vineyard of origin is located in the territory of Castellina in Chianti (SI), lying on a calcareous soil at an altitude between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. The harvest took place in September with a very low yield of 45 quintals per hectare. The entire winemaking process was carried out in stainless steel. Aging occurred for 24-30 months in new French oak barriques and for an additional 12 months in the bottle.

Poggio ai Merli di Castellare di Castellina stands out with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it displays aromas of cherry and small dark berry fruits, intertwined with warm notes of licorice, coffee, and dark spices. The taste is smooth and full-bodied, supported by polished tannins and a long fruity and spicy finish. Excellent when paired with succulent dishes of red meats or game.
