Brunello di Montalcino by Banfi is obtained 100% from Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the company estate, on the southern side of Montalcino, at an average altitude of 220 meters above sea level. The winemaking process begins with the maceration of the grapes on the skins for a period of 10/12 days. The aging follows the classic setup of the cellar: 2 years, 50% in French oak barrels and 50% in French oak barriques, followed by a rest in the bottle for 8-12 months. Broad and complex, on the nose it releases a seductive range of scents of mature marasca cherries, potpourri, and dark spices. The taste is soft, supported by a velvety tannic texture and accompanied by a full flavor that towards the finish takes on spicy and tar nuances. Long and pleasant persistence.
