Aroma fruttato
Corpo medioThe Rosé Le Fornaci di Tommasi is a blend of 90% Turbiana and 10% Rondinella, produced from the vineyards that the Family owns on the southern shore of Lake Garda. More precisely: the Turbiana is a selection of grapes from the vineyards of the Le Fornaci estate on the outskirts of Sirmione and the Rondinella comes from a vineyard owned by Peschiera del Garda. The harvest of the two varieties takes place simultaneously but the first phase of vinification is carried out separately: one hour of maceration in the press and then delicate pressing for the extraction of the must. At this point the two vines are combined, the temperature is lowered and inoculated to start the fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature. The wine thus obtained is aged for 4 months, again in steel.
The Rosé Le Fornaci di Tommasi has a delicate salmon pink colour. The nose is fragrant and fine, with notes of grapefruit, mandarin and peach blossom, accompanied by pleasant mineral hints. In the mouth, it is fresh, with citrus acidity and a good balance. A versatile wine, it is very good for example in spring with savoury sheets stuffed with white asparagus and bacon, or, to look at the sea, with pink prawn tartare.
