The Patrimo di Feudi di San Gregorio comes from 100% Merlot grapes grown in the territory of Sorbo Serpico (AV) on mostly clayey soils, at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level. During vinification, the malolactic fermentation, which has softened the aromatic and structural edges of the fermented must, took place in oak barrels. The refinement occurred for 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barriques and for an additional 10 months in the bottle.

PATRIMO FEUDI DI SAN GREGORIO: TASTING

The Patrimo di Feudi di San Gregorio presents itself to the eye with an intense ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of small dark berry fruits emerge, combined with balsamic hints of eucalyptus and notes of vanilla. Complementing the olfactory profile are hints of toasted coffee powder and dark spices. The sip is intense and enveloping, enhanced by a sweet tannic texture and a long spicy finish. It pairs well with aged cheeses as well as rich earthy dishes made with red meats.
